Do you wish you could find an inexpensive guitar that still plays and looks like the real thing? The Squier Telecaster Guitar may just be the answer to your prayers. This offshoot company of Fender puts out a great line of lower priced instruments suitable for first-time buyers and veteran players alike.

Everybody has heard of the Fender Telecaster. It is one of the most famous electric guitar models ever to grace the rock and roll stage, seen in the hands of such legendary superstars as Keith Richards, Jimmy Page, and George Harrison. Vintage models from the Sixties and early Seventies fetch amazingly high prices in the collectors' market today.

Squier by Fender has upheld tradition by manufacturing a high quality but lower priced line of instruments. A beautiful, finely crafted axe that is a pleasure to play is no longer out of reach for the aspiring rocker.

The current model has the slim lines of its classic counterpart, built for speed. The electronics (signature Alnico magnet pickups) produce full, rich tonality, with enough highs, lows and in-betweens to meet the demands of todays popular music.

Maybe it is the choice of wood, Agathis for the body, Maple for the neck, and Rosewood for the fretboard, that gives this instrument its rich, vibrant sound. Still, equal credit should go to the classic design of the pickups and the overall workmanship.

There are twenty-two frets on the standard edition. The strings-through-body style bridge is sturdy and reliable. All the machines are die cast metal, with chrome covers, built to last. Adorning touches include an engraved neckplate, inlaid fingerboard, and the classic three-ply pickguard.

Two new editions, the Classic Vibe Custom and Thinline, will soon appear on the scene. They are re-issues of two classic body styles that won favor with a variety of 'sixties recording artists.

Whether you prefer the nostalgic semi-hollowbody acoustic electric look of the Thinline, with its f-holes and white pick guard, or the funky appeal of the Custom, sporting a mod green pick guard and sunburst finish, these two are sure to please the retro player with their vintage hardware and superior playability.

So even if you are a rising star on a falling budget, you don't have to settle for anything less than a totally cool Fender-designed Squier Telecaster guitar!

Love Squiers! I have a 1986 Squier Stratocaster, a starter pack Strat and a P-Bass. The Classic Vibes are great guitars for any budget.
